Weekend of Prayer For Our Children

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.  (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NIV)

As parents and grandparents, many of us feel like we are living in this scripture. We feel blindsided by what we see in the current young generations, including our own children. And that’s saying a lot for those of us who are children of the 60’s and 70’s!

Whether it is faith “deconstruction,” identity issues, addictions or other concerns, things seem worse than they’ve ever been. Our children are believing lies that seem so obviously false to us. How could the children that we raised fall prey to these false teachings?

If this resonates for you, we would like to invite you to join us for a special weekend of prayer. This will be a time of guided, focused prayer for a specific child for each person who participates. We will start with sound teaching on listening prayer. We will then gather in small groups to listen to one another’s hearts; we will listen to God; and we will pray together for one another’s children. We will close with a time of prayer for the generations.

This event is open to any parent or grandparent who desires to join other parents in prayer.
