We are excited to be taking a brand new event on the road to Franklin, TN (Aug 15-16) and Chicago, IL (Oct 24-25). But before we do, we would love to have some of our faithful donors join us for an online “test run” of this exciting event!

Dr. Marcus Warner will unpack a model for whole-brained, heart-focused discipleship based on the gospel’s four essential elements: Freedom, Identity, Spirit, and Heart-Focused Community—FISH.

Discipleship Essentials that Transform the Heart

Some forms of discipleship have tended to focus on the ABCs (Academics, Behavior, & Church activity). This can lead to informed minds, yet fail to produce transformed hearts.

In order to help disciples grow into mature, whole-hearted followers of Jesus who can go the distance, we need to help people grow in FISH:

FREEDOM: Learning to identify and deal with root-level issues related to spiritual warfare and emotional healing that often keep us stuck.

IDENTITY: Increasing our capacity to live out of both our New Covenant identity (what is true of all Christians because of the cross) and our Creation identity (what is true of us individually because of who God made us to be).

SPIRIT & SCRIPTURE: Walking in the Spirit opens up a whole new way of living in union with Christ. Living a life saturated with Scripture and experiencing God’s presence in your daily life changes everything.

HEART-FOCUSED COMMUNITY: Healthy community is the soil in which we grow best. We need relationships where we can go below the surface and help each other deal with heart-level issues and find the joy that comes with belonging.

FISH leads to MISSION: FISH leads us into a lifestyle of joining God on His Mission in our lives. We are meant to invite others to join us on the journey of transformation!

MEET THE PRESENTER

Dr. Marcus Warner

(MDIV, THM, AND DMIN TRINITY EVANGELICAL DIVINITY SCHOOL) IS THE PRESIDENT OF DEEPER WALK INTERNATIONAL

He is a former pastor and college professor who has written several books on topics ranging from how to study the Bible to spiritual warfare, emotional healing, and leadership.

Marcus has done training events for organizations such as Navigators, Willow Creek Prison Ministry, and Moody Church. He has traveled the world with Deeper Walk, equipping people on the front lines of ministry with practical tools for dealing with root issues that keep people and ministries stuck and unable to go deeper into what God has for them.
