Here's what We'll cover

Build Your Life on the Solid Foundation of Your Identity in Christ

Some of us know the right answer about our identity and still don’t live like it. Others were never taught it at all. GROW 2027 takes an in-depth look at identity in Christ from three angles, with Friday night tracks designed to equip you in the areas you serve.

01

Your Unique Identity

Discover what God says about who you are, and hear stories from people whose lives changed when they find out.

02

Your Unchanging Identity in Christ

Your identity in Christ does not move when your circumstances do. Learn how to build on a solid foundation that doesn’t move.

03

The Brain's Role

Learn how the brain develops identity and why understanding that changes the way you grow.

04

Breakout Tracks for Where You Serve

Friday night breakouts are designed for counselors and coaches, church leaders, and individuals. You’re also invited to stay after Saturday’s sessions for breakout rooms with track leaders to process what you learned.

Opening Session & GROW Tracks

7:00 PM ET
Session 01

Why Identity Matters

Dr. Marcus Warner

Traditional discipleship is good at a lot of things, but it often misses the heart. In this opening session, Marcus will share why heart-focused discipleship matters and why living out of your identity in Christ matters so much.

Marcus will unpack why we do what we do at Deeper Walk: helping people identify and overcome the obstacles to a deeper walk with God. He’ll explore what keeps people stuck and how heart-focused discipleship helps us get free.

Then he’ll show why identity is so foundational. A lot of people struggle to love themselves and receive love from others. Knowing who you are in Christ opens a pathway for love to flow in and out of your life.

In this session you will learn:

  • Why heart-focused discipleship matters
  • The obstacles that keep people stuck, and how to overcome them
  • How your identity helps you receive love from God and others
  • Where to find confidence for the role you’ll play in the future

Session 02

Three Engines That Drive Your Identity

Dr. Marcus Warner

Your identity in Christ rests on two foundations: creation and covenant. In this session, you’ll see how those two work together with the way God wired your brain, so you can see yourself the way God sees you.

Creation is who God designed you to be. Covenant is the identity that’s yours in Christ because of His work on the cross.

Putting these into practice gets even richer when you understand how the brain forms an identity. God designed all three to work together.

In this session you will learn:

  • How to recognize God’s unique design for your life
  • How your responses to pain can point to God-given heart characteristics
  • How knowing your unique identity helps you find your purpose and mission in life
  • How the New Covenant gives you an objective, unchanging anchor for your identity
  • How God wired your brain to form a healthy identity

Session 03

Living From Your True Identity

Jamie Winship

Jamie Winship has spent decades bringing peaceful solutions to some of the world’s highest-conflict areas, including Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine and Israel. In this session, he’ll share what he’s learned about living from one’s true identity, along with stories of transformation he’s seen as he’s helped others discover theirs.

Within the Christian world there is often confusion and polarization around this topic. Some see spiritual warfare behind nearly every difficulty in life, while others dismiss it as outdated, exaggerated, or only relevant in cross-cultural contexts. Karl addresses those extremes with a clear and balanced biblical perspective.

In this session you will learn:

  • Five common reasons people offer to avoid or trivialize the subject of spiritual warfare.
  • Two popular paradigms often used to explain spiritual warfare.
  • A contextual understanding of numerous New Testament verses dealing with the topic.
  • Common questions and clichés often voiced in discussions on the topic.

Join Dan as he reveals the specific flow of a “No Drama Deliverance” session. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation, the ground rules, and the conversational pattern used to check for areas of demonization like occult involvement, generational iniquity, unforgiveness, sin, and trauma.

In this session you will learn:

  • The specific five-part framework to help participants cancel demonic legal ground and walk forward in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
