An Insigthful Read
I found this book to be an insightful expose’ into what went wrong with the Western Church and its theology as a result of the Enlightenment. As I look in the Bible as a mirror for the Western Church, we are not looking more like Biblical disciples of Christ. This book unlocks a lot of the reasons why and points to how we need to change. Thank you Marcus and Jim for writing this!

This is a great book. Marcus Warner & Jim Wilder have produced a book that gives us an
quick analysis of church history. They reveal how the Church has gotten off track and abandon it’s God given foundation of love. Their understanding of how God created our brains gives us major clues of how to present the gospel. It also gives us how to real our true earthly goal of making disciples not after our images but, after Jesus’ image. This book gives us clues of how to design local churches. Denominations should redesign their structures to foster the ‘love attachment’ model which is the essence of God vs. religious tradition and secular culture. God continues to call the church back to His roots of OT
hesed and NT agape love. By learning how to live these truths we can transform the world
with the true gospel and bring ‘heaven to earth’ as Jesus prayed in the Lord’s Prayer (Matt 6:10). Way to go guys, you have hit a grand slam home run!
