Session 1 –ย  Freedom: The Key to the Heart by Marcus Warner

Overview:ย Heart-focused discipleship starts with freedom. If we’re stuck and in bondage, the Christian life is really hard! In this session you’ll learn 4 essential tools for experiencing greater freedom, and we’ll take a deeper dive into the process of forgiving those who have wounded you.

Session 2 – Identity: The Key to Maturity by Jessie Cruickshank

Overview: Maturity can be defined as acting like yourself, despite hardship. Harvard-trained neuroscientist Jessie Cruickshank will take us through the journey of how our identity is formed over our lifetime and how we can encourage maturity at every age and stage of life.

In this session you’ll learn:

  • A holistic model of maturity development
  • The 3 identity crises that people face in their growth journey
  • How to discern what God is inviting you into, no matter where you are in the maturity process

Session 3 – Spirit: The Key to Intimacy by Judy Dunagan

Overview: It’s no surprise that prayer is one of the keys to greater intimacy with God. Judy Dunagan, daughter of our founder Mark Bubeck, has been teaching on the power of prayer for decades. In this session youโ€™ll learn practical and creative ways for reviving your prayer life by incorporating praying Scripture, lament, and worship into your prayers. Youโ€™ll also be inspired by the stories and examples she shares of how praying Godโ€™s Word has made a powerful difference in her life.

Marcus Warner has served as president of Deeper Walk International since 2006. Marcus earned three degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School โ€“ M.Div., Th.M. Old Testament, and D.Min. He has written numerous books including his most recent title, Breakthrough! 5 Essential Strategies for Freedom, Healing, & Wholeness. An in-demand speaker, Marcus has spoken for both ministry and corporate groups across the country and around the world. A Bible teacher at heart, Marcus has taught Old Testament and Theology at the junior high, high school, college, and seminary levels. His passion is taking complex topics and making them practical and accessible for everyone.

Jessie Cruickshank

Jessie Cruickshank

Founder of Whoology

Jessie Cruickshank is an ordained minister with a Masterโ€™s from Harvard in Mind, Brain, and Education. She is a recognized expert in discipleship and neuroeducation, having spent over two decades applying neuroscience to spiritual formation, ministry training, and organizational development. She is respected globally as a missiological thought leader and neuro-ecclesiologist.

Jessie co-leads V3, the church planting arm of the BGAV. She is the author of Ordinary Discipleship and Founder of Whoology, which seeks to ignite everyday people to be disciplemakers. She is a Co-Founder of 5Q, Co-Author of Activating 5Q, and founding member of the Movement Leaderโ€™s Collective.

Judy Dunagan is the author of The Loudest Roar: Living in the Unshakable Victory of Christ. A wonder seeker of God and His Word, Judy is passionate about discipleship and making Godโ€™s Word and prayer come alive in everyday life. She is a speaker and Bible teacher and an acquisitions editor of womenโ€™s Bible studies and books at Moody Publishers. And she serves on the Board of Deeper Walk International, the ministry her father Mark Bubeck founded. Bobby Harrington

Bobby Harrington

Founder of Discipleship.org and RENEW.org

Dr. Bobby Harrington is founding and Lead Pastor of Harpeth Christian Church (by the Harpeth River, in Franklin, just south of Nashville). He is the founder and point leader of Discipleship.org (Jesus’ method of disciple making) and RENEW.org (Jesus’ teachings to fuel disciple making). He completed studies at Princeton Theological Seminary, the University of Calgary, Asbury Seminary, with a Master of Theology Degree from Harding University and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He has written or co-written over 20 books, and he has published over 300 blogs. He champions the teachings of Jesus and disciple making. He is a Canadian now living in Nashville. He loves family, hockey, football, politics, and traveling to Israel. He lives with his wife in the Nashville area, near his two married children and six grandchildren. He writes in collaboration with other leaders who champion the ways of Jesus.

Robby Angle serves as the President of Trueface and Discipleship Advisor to RightNow Media. He lives in Dawsonville, Georgia with his wife, Emily, and their eight children. Prior to Trueface, Robby served for over seven years at North Point Community Church in Atlanta, Georgia as the Director of Adult Ministry Environments and Director of Menโ€™s Groups.

Robby holds a certificate in biblical studies and degrees in business and counseling.

David Yarborough Profile

David Yarborough

Lead Pastor, Church on the Hill, Dalton, GA

David Yarborough is an experienced pastor with over 25 years in ministry. He currently serves as the Lead Pastor at Church on the Hill in Dalton, GA. Prior to this, David was the Senior Pastor at St. Simons Community Church on St. Simons Island, GA, where he led the congregation from 1999 to 2021. He holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary (1998) and a degree in Journalism: Public Relations from the University of Georgia. David has been happily married for 30+ years to his wife, Amber, and together they have three grown children, a daughter in-love. Their favorite life accomplishment was becoming grandparents in 2024.

Dan Allison

Dan and Allison lives in Eastern Iowa with his wife, Sarah. They are the proud parents of 4 amazing sons, 2 incredible daughters-in-law, and 4 fantastic grandchildren! Dan is the Founding Pastor of Crossroads Church, Peosta. Along with his wife Sarah, he currently teaches Faith Formation classes at Crossroads Church. They also lead womenโ€™s and menโ€™s retreat weekends each fall, utilizing Deeper Walkโ€™s content church-wide.

Danโ€™s role in the kingdom is โ€œCatalystโ€ and the Lord has led Dan to catalyze engines that carry the gospel and healing of Jesus to others. This includes helping plant several churches in Eastern Iowa and starting multiple ministries both inside and outside the church. Dan currently serves as President of The Oak Grove Inc, a non-profit dedicated to helping people recover from the effects of childhood trauma. In addition to full-time ministry work, Dan has been serving in the Retirement Industry for 32 years. He is currently a Managing Director at Empower, the nationโ€™s second largest Retirement provider. He also manages to find time in the woods, at his farm, and on the water, harvesting some of our landsโ€™ most delicious fish and game.
